CREW SEARCH

I am looking into the possibility of entering the Madeira & Back Race in August 2008.

This is a race of 1200 miles each way and the crew can be changed at Madeira. This is a more adventurous than anything I have previously done and requires a strong commitment to prepare and qualify.

I am considering both crewed or a two handed race depending on if I can actually get a crew, although a high level of race experience is not necessary, some sailing experience is essential.

If any club members are interested, please let me know as I would prefer to have club members, but may have to look outside the club if I go fully crewed. As usual, we enter as 'Corinthian' than seriously expecting honours.

Trapper 500

Nocturne

I am looking for a crew for 2008

For weekend or weekdays and a week or two all subject to weather.

The boat is 8.3 m and is confortable with 3 or 4 people on board but is usually sailed short handed with myself and one crew. Based at Southsea Marina the cruising ground is the Solent and the odd trip across the channel in the summer. All crusing costs would be shared equally and I prefer berthing in marinas over night and eating ashore but I am flexible.

Ron Hunt.
