It’s time for the 2010 RYA / CEVNI course

It’s on March 04 and March 18
That’s two Thursday evenings starting at 20.00hrs
Maximum of 2 hrs each evening at the CSC Clubhouse
Cost £20 – includes all course material

Taking a CEVNI Test is the only way to get your ICC “European Inland
Waterways Endorsement”
We do not have a comparable test in UK for British inland waterways
Sorry, a Yachtmaster Ocean ticket & years of experience does not count !!

Reminder – All British yachts are required to have a capable (at least
day skipper level) person on board with an ICC endorsed for
“Inland Waters” - when using the European inland waterways
That includes popping up the canal from Ouistreham to Caen !!

Anyone wishing to learn a bit about travelling on the canals and rivers
in Europe and take the CEVNI test please contact Gerry Roper

– Club member David White is retiring from the police after 30+ years and is
going cruising clockwise around  UK (though Caledonian Canal) starting 8th May 2010 and ending late July. He is offering places to further crew members on his fully equipped yacht PARITY a 31’ Moody.
