Newtown Creek Cruise
Sat Mar 30 - Apr 1st HW 1420(GMT) 4.3
“ A quiet backwater with a busy medieval past, now bursting with wildlife and a town hall with no town…..”
Join us for the first season cruise to Newtown Creek, a large natural inland harbour located on the Isle of Wight’s north western coast and then on Sunday head east to Bembridge for a good stretch of the legs, resulting in a lazy start home on Monday. Sounds perfect
Saturday 30th March Portmouth to Newtown Creek
Yarmouth HW 1350(GMT) 2.8
Depart Portsmouth @ 1100, tide against us for a little while and then we have the whole afternoon to enjoy a pleasant sail to Newtown River. Arrive before 1600
Pick up a buoy and relax in the company of friends, taking in the peaceful surroundings of Newtown Creek. Dinner on board or at The New Inn, it’s only a pleasant dinghy ride down stream and a refreshing stroll to the bar.
Sunday 31st March Newtown to Bembridge
Yarmouth LW 0840(GMT) 1.0
Bembridge HW 1620(GMT) 2.7
Depart @ 10 after breakfast to catch the east going tide and arrive just before it turns. Brading Haven Yacht Club is the destination which offers visiting yachtsmen hot meals and generous bar hours.
Monday 1st April
Bembridge HW 1720(BST) 2.5
Early or late start, it’s up to you. (Don't forget we lose an hour) Maybe an early start, clear the bar and drop the anchor in Priory Bay for a cooked breakfast or stay and take a stroll into the Bembridge. It is a bit of a walk, but worth every step.
Hope you can join us for our first cruise in 2024. Gaius and myself have booked up the fine weather, just need you to accompany us.

Note: On line registrations close Saturday night 2 weeks before the event.
