Most people’s experience of the superyacht industry might be limited to a striking silhouette moored off the beach during a Mediterranean family holiday or a headline in the news often linked to a bit of scandal. Motorsport enthusiasts may have glimpsed them rafted together in Monaco during the exciting Formula 1 Grand Prix.

However, the superyacht industry is actually a vibrant billion-dollar cottage industry that employs thousands of passionate individuals around the globe! Beneath the glamour and occasional drama, this industry shares many delightful similarities with the more accessible leisure maritime world.

Alexander Fleming has been a part of this exciting journey for over 30 years! He’s climbed the ranks, starting as crew, then moving shore based and becoming a surveyor, and even arranging the design, refitting and construction of some of these magnificent vessels. In this evening's presentation, Alex will share his insights and peel back the layers of this captivating industry. He aims to show us how, despite its grandeur and wealth, it's surprisingly relatable to everyone who enjoys the experience of the leisure maritime market, and time on the water.....
